Well, I am going to tell you a little secret about myself. I love simple cards! There it is. Don't get me wrong, I love the large cards with layers and DP and all that fun stuff. But sometimes, I miss the time when the image was the focal point. One of the things that I love about Rosies Roadshow is that you can create an adorable scene that can be the focal point of your card. I hope you can bear with me as I amuse myself with the simple for a little while!

Stamps: Rosie's Roadshow, Norsk Stempelblad Clear Stamps
Ink: Stewart Superior Hybrid in Burnt Umber
Paper: Chocolate Chip, So Saffron DP, Fabriano Artistico
Other: Prima Flowers, Sky ribbon, Copper brads, White Gel pen, reinkers and Twinkling H2O's for coloring.
Frame was stamped and then using the stamp-ma-jig I created the scene. A couple lemons in the basket were popped up, and the basket was popped up. Sentiment hand scribbled ( my writing is not worth beans lol)

ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful peaceful card and not at all simple, it is just great. I think in our hearts we all like the small straight forward cards, But I don't know about you when I am asked to craft a card for people they want big and blowsey, I have thought for a long time that other crafters are the only ones that appreciate how much of ourselves we put into our card making.

ReplyDeleteYou always do such a wonderful job of dressing up your cards. Even this simpler card looks somehow special with your style of creativity. I waver back and forth between simple and all dolled up but I always like a nice focal image. This is very sweet!
