I'm Back with a Blog Hop from Sugar Nellie

I am finally back, and posting! I thought I might never get to this point lol, but I think I have finally reached the point when I can start posting sporadically. I do a bit of surfing while I am nursing my new almost 3 month old son. It is the only time that I have to just sit and relax. I've been keeping up with every ones blog's but have never been that great at posting comments with only one hand lol. So I happened one day upon Sugar Nellies Blog when they were offering the chance to participate in a Blog Hop featuring their new artist Diane Duda. She is a phenomenal artist who features some truly unique pieces. I was thrilled to try one of her new stamps. They are whimsical and versatile. I was trying in these cards to create a totally different look from what I normally do. The first card is supposed to be the dark and light side found in all of us. The picture is not great because it is late and my lighting is terrible. I will try to re- do the photo's tomorrow. The second card is a gorgeous deep purple which sadly I have not yet captured but hope to do so tomorrow. It is created with Derwent Inktense. I love how rich these watercolor pencils are. Check out the next blog in the hop so that you can see some more fantastic artwork. Karen's Cards is next in the list, have fun.

Oh Sopghia, these are truly amazing, just stunning! I just started card making last december and stumbled onto your blog a couple of times and was sad to see you don't post cards anymore because your creations are just stunning and such an inspiration! Glad to read you are doing ok and what you 'said' about your baby gave me such a flashback to last year when my daughter was around that age. I guess you're making a lot of late nights and don't get to have a lot of 'you time' but those little ones give so much in return, don't they? Belated congratulations and enjoy every moment with your boy, they grow up sooo fast..!

Oops, so sorry for my rambling, lol. I'm known to go on and on sometimes, hope you don't mind.

Have a fabulous weekend,

xx Naoual

Love both your cards, but, I have to say my favorite is the one with the tree and bird! Great job!

The cards are lovely! You'll find as your little one gets older your little snippets of time get longer and longer. Not to mention your ability to type with one hand suddenly gains momentum with a couple of months of practice!

You get really talented when they discover they can help!

Hello Sophia, BEautiful cards. Just love them both. Love the buttons on the tree branch. And the images are coloured perfectly. Great swirls and love the paper undernieth. The starts give that card a little extra as her dress is so bright on that side of the card it balances beautifully.

Enjoy your weekend.
