Personal sketch - Holly

Today, I spent a lot of time working on my sketching. I have a bunch of designs which I have named Woodland Creatures. I love the style of Magnolia, Hanglar and Sugar Nellie. I wanted to do my own variation, but with one of my favorite subjects....fairies. I love outdoor/ nature images. Pair that with fairies which are fantastical creatures of magic and nature. This particular girl is named Holly. I have her sitting on a mushroomed hill.
Stamps: none, my own personal design
Ink: Copic multiliner pen, Faber-Castell PITT artist pen, Distress ink in : China Blue, Pine Needle, Broken China, Shabby Shutter, Tea dye, Vintage.
Paper: River Rock, Real Red, Old Olive DP, Papertrey stampers select white.
Other: Copic Markers, Prisma and Faber-Castell color pencils, Twinkling H2O's, Spica Glitter pens, Stickles, May Art ribbon, copper brads, Prima flowers, Quickutz leaves and mushroom accent and swirls, Dew Drops, rhinestone brads.
I did my sketch on the Papertrey cs then outlined it in black and erased the pencil lines. Image was then colored. Accents were cut out on Cuttlebug and then card was put together.
have a great Saturday,
Hugs,
Sophie

Simply amazing! You are so incredibly talented! I wonder, do you paint art for friends or for your home? Or do you only do the card thing? Which I love btw, I just think you are an incredible artist! :)

Amazingly gorgeous! If you ever want to emboss your drawings you can use gluepen embossing. The detail is not as fine as your gorgeous sketches, but it does let you emboss sketches. :0) Mel

As everyone else said, you should totally design a line of stamps because I know I would buy them. I love fairies, gnomes and gargoyles and it's hard to find images I like - you know, cute, but a little twisted :)

Anonymous said...

Okay...what in the world do you need stamps for when you can draw like this? Holy cow, Sophia! Your own images could give any stamp company a run for its money. You should be designing your own line of stamps. Someone will snatch you up shortly! You're fabulous!

oh wow, wow, wow.........if you fancy designing stamps for SG-me! just drop me an email, as we are currently looking for a designer and your designs are so fabulous. They would definitely sell.
