For the past few months I have been browsing a whole bunch of Blogs from Sweden, Netherlands, and other country's. I have been translating pages and studying the cards made. There is a certain style there that I absolutely love. You often see it with the Magnolia stamps as well as the Hanglar och Stanglar stamps. The style is looser, often incorporating plenty of embellishments and shapes. There is usually different textures in DP and little matting. I am so intrigued with this style that I decided to give it a try. This is not cased from any one card but rather I took elements and ideas from countless blogs. I don't know if I was quite successful, but I am still happy with the results. I am going to be trying this style next with the High Hopes stamps as they are the closest to the style of images that can be found here in North America. For this card I did use Hanglar och Stanglar stamps, and I am so excited to say that I will within a few months be able to get these kits through a friend who is moving to Sweden. These kits are only available in Sweden and soon Norway! My hope is to use them in classes here at home as well as to sell pre stamped and cut kits online.

Great job with this challenge to yourself! I love it! Beautiful coloring as well!
I too have been stalking Swedish blogs, translating them and trying to find the cute big fat cheeked babies. Its a different style, but i loved how your card turned out. Different!
And as my bf always says, "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail."
I have a couple European stamping blogs bookmarked too, and have a page of Inge's layouts printed out at my desk just for inspiration in placing layers, etc. Love, love, love. I haven't gone so far as to translate anyone's pages though - you are truly hardcore. ;)

I have been watching those also! It is amazing the things they put together and how awesome it looks. You nailed it girl! AWESOME!
I think you totally captured it! This is such an awesome card with so many elements to look at!
Wow! I haven't seen the other cards from overseas that you mentioned, but this is so fabulous. This is the kind of looser design that I LOVE but can't even wrap my brain around it to get started. I'll definitely be watching for more of your cards in this style.
Your card is great, know what you mean I have also been checking out the international blogs and love the magnolia stamps.

Hey Sophie, I found this blog through a blog that links to mine - I'm not sure if it's an open sketch challenge blog, but it has sketches anyway, and I thought it might be fun to try them just for fun, to stretch my thinking.
